The stunning Balinese Alila Villas Uluwatu eco resort is located on a sloping hill in Bali’s Uluwatu region on the Southern Bukit Peninsula . This beautifully designed complex straddles a striking white limestone cliff and an arid savanna on the tropical island's arid Bukit Pennisula and the Alilas Villas resort is the first of its kind to achieve the highest level of certification for Environmentally Sustainable Development (ESD) and is designed for the Green Globes GG21 standard.
Giles Miller’s latest collaboration with Stella McCarntey comes in the form of a bold and intriguing pop-up store for the Galleries Lafayette on Boulevard Hausmann in Paris with two metre high lettering and laminated corrugated cardboard.

Anne Kyyrö Quinn is a London based artist who uses textiles to create surfaces that resemble artworks more than conventional fabrics. Creating contemporary fabrics, each is cut, sewn and finished by hand from a unique choice of luxury natural materials and then crafted into interior textiles. The result is a stunning finish and beautiful addition to any interior. Her designs can be seen in such places as Bovis Lend Lease's offices and the Icehouse in Camden.

D&AD has announced the winners of the Student Awards with first prize going to Jessica Reynolds and Serena Wise of Kingston University who won the coveted Student of the Year award for their IKEA colour wheel project.

Henning Larsen Architects has won first prize for its significant design concept for a new aquarium in the Georgian seaport of Batumi. They commnet, 'The 2,000 m2 aquarium will replace the previous aquarium of the port and will be situated on the beach side of Rustaveli Str. adjacent to Batumi 6 May Park featuring a Dolphinarium and Zoo.
Inspired by the characteristic pebbles of the Batumi beach, continually shaped by the wash of the waves through millennia, the building stands out as an iconic rock formation visible from both land and sea. The formation constitutes four self-supporting exhibition areas where each of the four stones represents a unique marine biotype – the Aegean Sea & the Mediterranean Sea, the Indian Ocean, the Black Sea & the Red Sea and finally the more interactive exhibition space for teaching and “edutainment”.'
