A  selection of some of the best bits from the Communication Art and Design exhibitions are displayed on their web site including Daniel Frost's exquisite pencil crayon drawings, who focusses upon horses and has also illustrated several moments from Jonathan Swift's Gulliver's Travels.
Also Xavier Antin looks as new ways to print, including a manual on how to recondition various desktop printers to achieve different effects.

Research reveals events sector is boosting economy

The trade body for the events industry, Eventia has announced the overall value of the conference and business events market is worth £18.8 billion to the UK economy.
Eventia hopes that the findings from its UK Events Market Trend Survey (UKEMTS) will confirm the importance of the events sector to the national economy.
Other findings include the news that the number of events held at each venue had dropped slightly to 379 compared to 391 in 2008. However, many venue providers are optimistic about the future with 65 per cent of the venues planning to invest in their property in 2010, and nine per cent spending more than £1 million to do it.

They commnet, 'The 2,000 m2 aquarium will replace the previous aquarium of the port and will be situated on the beach side of Rustaveli Str. adjacent to Batumi 6 May Park featuring a Dolphinarium and Zoo.
Henning Pebbles 3.jpgHenning Pebbles 2.jpgInspired by the characteristic pebbles of the Batumi beach, continually shaped by the wash of the waves through millennia, the building stands out as an iconic rock formation visible from both land and sea. The formation constitutes four self-supporting exhibition areas where each of the four stones represents a unique marine biotype – the Aegean Sea & the Mediterranean Sea, the Indian Ocean, the Black Sea & the Red Sea and finally the more interactive exhibition space for teaching and “edutainment”.'
